Lab Movers provides laboratory relocation in Baltimore for research institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical firms, and medical facilities. Our movers pack, move, and rig scientific equipment for labs moving within Baltimore or moving to and from the city. Request a quote to start planning.
Moving lab and scientific equipment is at the core of our business, and we are headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts. Baltimore’s lab activity is driven by Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and both have reported running short on wet lab space as startups spin out. For many companies, that means moving in stages, from an incubator to a first private lab and then to a larger one.
Some growing companies have also left the city for other parts of Maryland, such as Rockville, when Baltimore space ran short. If one end of your move is outside Baltimore City, plan street access with that jurisdiction separately.
Baltimore Research Campuses Our Movers Serve
Baltimore’s lab space sits mainly on two sides of downtown. Our movers serve labs in and around:
- East Baltimore, including the Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins next to the Johns Hopkins medical campus and the FastForward 1812 incubator
- The UM BioPark on the west side of downtown, including its expansion at West Baltimore Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
Reserving curb lane space generally requires a Baltimore City Department of Transportation right-of-way permit, and the application states payment must be received and No Parking signs posted 72 hours before the permit start date. Truck loading zones have their own time limits, so check the posted rules at both buildings.

Moving out of a Baltimore incubator is small in square footage but heavy on detail. Some equipment is yours, some belongs to the incubator, and your work may continue at the old bench for a while. List what is yours before you request a quote.
Request a Baltimore lab moving quote with both addresses, your target dates, and a list of major equipment. Include items that need rigging, the status of your chemical inventory, and building contacts at both sites, and we will scope the move and follow up with next steps.
